Mae: I’m kinda thinking of getting an army jacket… what do you think?
Liz: Oh...kay? Why an army jacket?

Mae: I mean, it’s getting colder, and I remember having one as a kid - it was fantastic. I could go out in a downpour and stay completely dry.
Mae: That, and I’ve got a ton of patches and pins, and I’ve never really had a jacket I could put them on before.

Liz: I can understand that… but aren’t you concerned about it might be perceived?
Mae: What, that I’d be wearing a military jacket even though I was never in the military?

Mae: C’mon, it’s ME we’re talking about. Nobody is going to even mistakenly think I’m cool.
