Hi folks! I just wanted to pop in with a little bit of explanation as to where I’ve been the past few weeks, and why the comics have been so ridiculously sparse.
It all boils down to a combination of “too busy at my day job” and “prepping for a convention”. The day job thing is self-explanatory, but the convention isn’t actually for ME, per se. See, Liz got an artist’s alley table at SacAnime this weekend, and while she’s the mastermind behind sewing the diapers and all the other business stuff, I’m actually the guy who runs the embroidery side of things. And since we’ve been trying to get iron-on patches ready for this con, I’ve been kind of hovering over the machine trying to get it right for weeks now. You’d be surprised how difficult it is to make a GOOD looking patch on a home embroidery machine, but I went through a whole lot of iterations before getting it right. That, and I’ve just been busting out towels and other such things to ensure we have stuff to SELL at the booth, yanno?
That said, if you’re on the Sacramento area and plan to be at SacAnime, come by the Seams Geeky table, #A23, and say hi! We’ll have all kinds of cool stuff to peruse, and really, it’ll just make us happy. And then, next week when I no longer have the crush of work to be done hanging over me, I think I can actually manage to get a more or less solid week of comics out. WE SHALL SEE. I honestly intended to do one tonight, but given that it’s after 2 in the morning and I’m only JUST now to a point where I’d be able to work on it… that ain’t happenin’. Blerg.
