Panel 1
Nurse: OK, Mrs. Dean - this here is going to be where you keep all your personal effects. We’ve included a notebook and a soft felt tipped pen to write with, just in case.
Panel 2
Liz: What personal effects? You TOOK all my personal effects. You didn’t even let me have the pajamas I wore in here!
Nurse: Well, of course - the drawstring on the pajama pants is dangerous.
Panel 3
Liz: Okay, FINE. What about my phone, then? What’s so dangerous about that?!
Nurse: We need to monitor communication, for your safety as well as the safety of the other patients.
Liz: Yes, because god forbid I be able to talk to my husband and daughter.
Panel 4
Liz: Well GEE, thank you for this MOSTLY EMPTY PAPER BAG. I’ll guard it with my life.
Nurse: You seem awfully worked up. I’ll get someone to increase the dosage on your meds.
