Panel 1
Mae: Okay, I think I’m on board with mourning Fry’s at this point. My monitor just died, and I’ll be damned if I shop at Best Buy, so I need to wait a few days for a new one to come in.
Dave: Wait, monitor, as in SINGULAR? I thought you had two of them?
Panel 2
Mae: I mean, I did, but the other one gave up the ghost last year, so I’ve been working with just the one since then.
Dave: ONE MONITOR?! How the entire hell do you get by on just ONE monitor?
Panel 3
Mae: Look, I made do, okay? They were a couple of 22” flatscreens I bought back in 2008, and they worked well enough.
Dave: 2008!? Mae, your monitors were older than your KID!
Panel 4
Mae: This may surprise you, but not everyone places the same importance on computer parts that you do.
Dave: You should donate them to a museum so people can see what kind of computer equipment the pioneers had on their covered wagons.
