Title: 1240

Went to Tahoe over the weekend so Liz could help at her parents’ store, and managed to get in some DDR time at the casinos. Went into the arcade, and sure ’nuff, there was a 10~12 year old kid playing. But there was one difference… he wasn’t that good. Ended up chatting with him after the fact and found out he had just started playing. So when I got up and did Afronova and all my other favorite fast songs, he looked on in genuine awe. And then, I did the unthinkable. I played Paranoia… AND BEAT IT. First time ever. OH yes. So then we get home and I fired it up (I’m usually pretty wary of playing on the soft pads, because it seems like all they do is frustrate me), and did fairly well on a lot of songs I would have otherwise sucked on. I’m getting BETTER. Oh yes.

Sorry this post is so late… it truly couldn’t be helped. Literally from the time I returned from Tahoe on Saturday, until 2 am this morning, I have not stopped working. It’s been a flurry of printing things out, making artwork, calling people, and getting ducks into rows. Frankly, I’d love to have them all in ONE row, but for now I’ll settle for a few rows. :)

Sor first and foremost, let me start with the item that is of the most concern to me. The thing that I’m, of course, most nervous and excited about. The book. I have confirmation that it is, in fact, finished. However, they were not able to ship it directly to me. That’s a bit too much, too quickly. We have instead opted to have the books sent to my hotel in San Diego, and they should be arriving tomorrow. I will have 300 books available at the con with me. That’s it. We will also have 130 shirts, and an as yet undetermined number of posters… probably over 300, but I don’t know yet. We’ll also have prints again this year (And no waiting 7 minutes for each print, either! Hooray!), and we’ll also have the Tony Clone Badges, as well as the Shirt Ninja Army ID Cards. These have been taking me the longest to get ready, but they look awesome. Especially when laminated. You’ll see ’em there at the booth, and they’re only 3 bucks, so it’s not an expensive thing at all. :)

So anyway, we’re taking off from here after work, and staying in Anaheim tonight, before heading the rest of the way down to San Diego tomorrow. That should give us plenty of time to set up for preview night and whatnot. ^^D As usual, if anything else pops up, I’ll letcha know. Take care!
