Dave: OKAY. I have gone over the code for the holodeck LINE BY LINE, and I am officially convinced that it is 100% safe.

Dave: I’ve removed the quantum precognition entirely. Honestly, it was pointless for the project, since the base processes run faster than we’d ever need them to.
Dreamcast: I don’t know what it’s like to have limbs, but I feel like one has been removed.
Dave: SHADDAP YOU.

Dave: I’ve also included a secondary hardware control chip to deal with the escape function. It requires everyone who uses the holodeck to get a subcutaneous cranial chip implant, but all control commands can be issued just by THINKING them.
Dave: Seems like overkill, but it prevents even a rogue AI from intercepting vocal commands. It’s completely foolproof.
