Panel 1
Mae: Wait, hold up… are they putting a STARBUCKS in Rancho Murieta?
Liz: Looks like it.
Panel 2
Mae: This is NOT good.
Liz: How the hell can you construe this as a bad thing? It’ll save us the 25-minute drive into Folsom. You can just grab coffee when you go to the grocery store.
Panel 3
Mae: EXACTLY. Coffee runs were our excuse for getting out of the house and returning to the civilized world!
Mae: With a Starbucks and a full grocery store here, we’ll wind up never leaving town and turning into out-of-touch shut-ins, only emerging once a month to pick up our prescriptions from the pharmacy in Rancho Cordova!
Panel 4
Liz: Oh, I heard they were going to build a drug store out here soon, too!
Mae: HOW DARE THEY.
