Panel 1
Dave: Whaaaat is going on here?
Greg: I have decided to make ramen.

Panel 2
Dave: I’ve seen you make ramen before, and it’s much less of an event.
Greg: I mean REAL ramen. I figure, I’m stuck at home anyway, and since I can’t actually eat at a restaurant, I may as well try to make everything myself at home.

Panel 3
Greg: It’s definitely involved, though. A lot of things rely on the stuff you make before, so you have to kind of go in order.
Greg: The boiled eggs need to marinate in the braising liquid from the chashu pork, and I also need to make the dashi stock at the same time…

Panel 4
Greg: By my estimation, we should be able to have a nice bowl of ramen this coming tuesday.
Dave: So it’s the polar opposite of instant ramen, then.
Greg: I need fourteen ingredients, none of which our grocery store carries.
