Panel 1
Mae: I have to admit, I’m a little surprised I’m as invested in Rings of Power as I am. I kinda got ambivalent to the Tolkien series after the Lord of the Rings movies.
Liz: What are you talking about? You enjoyed the hell out of them!

Panel 2
Mae: Correction - I enjoyed the hell out of FELLOWSHIP. I watched it a few times when it came out and then once or twice on DVD.
Mae: The other two… not as much.
Liz: Okay, fair.

Panel 3
Mae: I felt like the books were that way too - “Two Towers” and “Return of the King” focus way more on battles and major events, and like, I really only cared when we were following Frodo and Sam.
Liz: And with Rings of Power, you said you mainly enjoy the Elrond/Durin scenes.

Panel 4
Mae: Apparently all you need to do to keep my attention in the world of Middle Earth is to make things juuuuuust the slightest bit gay.
Liz: I’m convinced Durin, Elrond and Disa are a triad, and even if they aren’t, yes they are.
