Panel 1
Liz: Oh wow, the glass beach is a lot closer to Mendocino than I thought. it should only be a 15 minute drive!
Mae: Oh! That’s awesome - Harper should love it.

Panel 2
Liz: I’ve always wanted to see it too.
Mae: I went with my dad back when I was maybe 12 or so - I remember it being really pretty.
Mae: I’ve heard that it’s declined over the years though…

Panel 3
Liz: Aw, really?
Mae: Yeah. People have been taking bits of glass home over the years, so it doesn’t have nearly as much as it used to. It’s illegal to take glass from the beach now.

Panel 4
Liz: This might be one of the only instances where picking up trash left by others is actually bad for the environment.
Mae: They should put up signs encouraging people to help with conservation efforts by hurling beer bottles onto the beach.
