Well, this is actually day 3, but I’ve been kind of decompressing for the past few days, so I’m a little late in updating the rantspace here.
We’re here in GORGEOUS Duck, NC… I have to say, the whole east coast thing is a lot different than I would have thought. For starters… yesterday, we watched the sunrise. OVER THE OCEAN. I’ve now seen the sun rising on both coasts… coming over the mountains behind oakland from the top of our apartment building, and coming up over the atlantic ocean while sitting on the beach. My life is complete. Plus, yesterday had two thunderstorms coming through that redefined THUNDERstorm. The crazy thing is, we were sitting on the porch last night while it was coming through, and every few seconds, lighting would rip through the sky… but there was almost no thunder. Some of the chains would light it up almost like daylight. It ranks among the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life.
We’re actually getting ready to head back out to the beach soon to fly kites (I got this kite that’s basically a pirate ship – awesome stuff), but I did want to make you aware of the cams we have going here – check them out if you get a chance. We’re also going to be getting a few more tomorrow when another of our forumites shows up, so we’ll add those in tomorrow. And so you know – you’re TOTALLY getting new comics every day this week. :)
