So, you’re probably wondering what the hell happened to me. My last update was on the 3rd, after all. Well, I should let you know that I AM in fact alive. This should reassure you.

However, I’m going to be taking myself up on that second week of guest strips I threatened. Last week was better for me than you can imagine… I actually got some Forge comics done, and it’s fairly apparent to me that I’ve come farther than I thought. And I HAD FUN. That’s important. But I also had time to sit and contemplate where I saw myself going with Real Life, and was very nice. Calming. Soothing. I feel more sure of myself now, I think. BUT, I want to use this extra week to do three things… first, I want to get at least a FEW strips ahead into RL… I had a two week buffer, and pissed it all away last time. I don’t want that to happen again. Second, I want to finish getting my pre-relaunch Forge strips done, and get the ball rolling there (also plan on mapping out some story details to make sure I can keep things going without interruption in the future.) And third…. I AM GOING TO START ON THAT DAMNED BOOK 2 IF IT FREAKING KILLS ME. Happy thoughts…happy thoughts…

So, enjoy another week of guest strips. I know I sure am. :) And to be honest… the more I think about it, the more I’m thinking of making 2 weeks of guest comics a regular annual thing. Having a few weeks to get my mind off things is rather nice. I know Zach Stroum has his regular hiatuses… perhaps I should do the same. :) Just a thought.

If I get a few spare moments, I’m going to do a quick writeup on KumoriCon and Anime Evolution, ’cause I know I haven’t talked about them, and they were both a BLAST. Well, okay, so that’s a VERY quick writeup… but it doesn’t count. :D

Another one of those things I find myself greatly remiss in not mentioning is the Webcomic Hurricane Relief Telethon, starting tomorrow and running into Wednesday. I just finished up my entry (today snuck up on me fairly quickly), and it will join the efforts of well over a hundred others over the next two days. It’s essentially a telethon – we sing and dance, and hopefully, you and others like you can help by donating. All donations, revenue from banner sales, and profits from merchandise sold during the telethon go directly to the American Red Cross.

There will be regular updates to the page throughout the duration of the telethon, so keep checking in to see what’s new. And please, join us in trying to help those who have lost everything in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
