I oftentimes forget that I’m doing the comic for people who aren’t necessarily ME. If you’re not from the Sacramento area, you probably don’t know what the hell this tower is that I’m talking about. Basically, Channel 10 has a doppler radar tower out here by the I-5/Highway 50 interchange that has this little light bar on it. For the longest time, I didn’t even know what the light bar meant. It just changed colors from time to time. After the Sep. 11 attacks, it was just alternating between red, white, and blue on a contant loop for a few weeks. It wasn’t until later that I found out that the color of the light was supposed to represent the weather for the next day. That’s all well and good, but the colors have seemingly no bearing in reality in some cases. Red does in fact mean hot (100+), and Yellow means sunny, but Green means RAIN, whilst Blue means wind. I guess white means cloudy… I thought there was more than that, but I found the color key online, and there’s only the five. One day, it’s going to be purple, forecasting the end of days. Or it’ll be black, which naturally would mean the weather will be cookies.
