Hi everyone! I got a few e-mails today wondering why the comic seems like it might be a bit “out-of-order”, so I thought I’d just poke in here to set things straight.

First off, I am in fact alive and well (not dead!) as is Liz, and Harper is doing very well, especially given that she’s only 10 days old. It’s odd, we had the nurse tell us on Saturday (we went back for a visit) that she almost seemed like a 4-week old. I guess that’s good? I dunno. The point is, she’s a cute kid, and for the moment, she’s actually letting us get something that SEEMS very much like rest at night. Currently she’s fast asleep behind me in the rocker swing a friend gave us, letting Liz get in a little her-time while I work on the comic. I can sense a trend here – she’ll likely be overseeing my comicking duties for quite some time. I may eventually have her proofread. Couldn’t be worse than I do on my own, right?

Anyway, the point is, I kinda figured it made sense that the first comics after coming back from my weeklong walkabout would be telling the story of what happened during our 4 days at the hospital. Just jump-cutting to us having a baby would seem like giving the event something of short shrift, so I don’t intend to do that. And since I can’t exactly tell a story BEFORE it happens, I kinda have no choice but to do it now. After the fact. You see?

Time, man. WHOO.
